Northampton County Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball Program
The Northampton County Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball Program provides a fun, structured, and positive environment for youth ages 4–16 to learn and develop basketball skills while building confidence, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The program is designed for players of all skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to more experienced players looking to improve their game. Participants receive age-appropriate instruction in dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, ball handling, teamwork, and game fundamentals.
Our youth leagues are divided by age to provide an appropriate playing experience:
- Mighty Mites: Ages 4–6
- Pee Wees: Ages 7–9
- Minors: Ages 10–12
- Juniors: Ages 13–16
Through practices and organized games, players have the opportunity to develop their athletic abilities while learning the importance of respect, responsibility, communication, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Our goal is not only to teach basketball, but to create an environment where every child feels included, supported, challenged, and proud to be part of a team.
